What To Do When Your Website Traffic Suddenly Drops
Nothing is more discouraging than seeing your Internet home business websites traffic drop dramatically over the course of a weekend. There are reports all over the internet about websites that suddenly have a traffic drop-off 10%-30%. While you might immediately want to pull your hair out, it isn’t very productive. The key is to take focused steps to understanding what has caused this drop and what you can do to fix it so you can continue to earn online from home. Here is a quick look at the steps that you should take in the event that you suddenly start losing traffic.
The first thing that you need to do is double check and make sure that there is no outside influence that would cause your target visitors to suddenly stop visiting your website. The most common reason for this is that there is a holiday that you didn’t take into consideration. Remember that the Internet is a world wide entity not just focused to your particular country . There could be a holiday in a country on the other side of the world that you also get a fair amount of traffic from. Once you have gone through these two steps, you should be able to discover whether or not the issue is related to either external factors that affect your visitors regular schedule or any unknown infrastructure changes, it is time to take a closer look at what your traffic data is telling you. The next thing that you need to do is check to see what sources of traffic have dropped and then find out why.
For example, if you normally use PPC, then you need to do some bid management. If your primary sources of traffic are via organic traffic, then you need to check your SERPs for your best performing pages. Is there a new competitor that is taking your traffic? Is your link building strategy becoming obsolete? Was there a major change to the search engine’s algorithm? Whatever the reason, you need to identify it and try to fix it.
But what do you do in the meantime? If you see a giant drop in your traffic and it is going to take some time in order to get it back, then this is the perfect time to start focusing on increasing your conversion rate. Just because you have less traffic, doesn’t mean that you should be making less money. Treat this setback as a blessing in disguise and start focusing more on ways to convert your visitors into buyers..
The absolute worse thing that you can do is sit back and hope the problem fixes itself, because it won’t. The key is to identify the underlying reason for the loss of traffic and then create a plan to fix the problem. What Is skaDoogle-A Review
In my last few posts I have been talking about How To Make Money With Multiple Web Sites. I covered how to use the WP-o-Matic plug-in for free content and Free Traffic System for more free content and how to use Instant Article Factory to write articles in less then 10 minutes to submit to Free Traffic System to get back links to your main site, the money maker.
Today I want to talk about a plug-in that is fast becoming my favorite. Its called skaDoogle and it makes it very easy to earn extra cash from home with all your blogs.

What Is Instant Article Factory- A Review

Use Free Traffic System For Back Links To Your Main Blog
In my last post I talked about How To Increase Website Traffic Using WP-o-Matic. I really do like that Plugin and I now use it on my site Green4Earth every day. It provides excellent content to my site with very little up keep on my end.
But there are times when you are looking for more then a snippet to place on your blog. Adding fresh relevant content to a blog can be very difficult and time consuming Free Traffic System has solved that for one of my blogs and this is another instance of were having multiple blogs can benefit your tremendously.

How To Increase Website Traffic Using WP-o-Matic
On my last post I talked about How To Make Money Blogging With Multiple Websites. The advantage of having multiple websites all using WordPress as the format are many. But in a nutshell, the more sites you have up and running the greater your chance to make a sale.
The idea is you have several sites, all in a different niche but all having a link pointing back to your main site- the true money maker.
Before I go any further one important thing I forgot to mention and my family would confirm this…I am a cheap son of gun. I hate to pay for ANYTHING let alone when it comes to my Internet home business!!
So with that in mind most of the products or services I test and use must offer a free version. Most offer a upgrade of some kind that will cost additional money but I like to test out the product first. If the free version gets me results then and then will I think about upgrading
As I mentioned earlier the process of setting up your blog is actually not that hard and with hosting company’s such as Host Gator and Blue Host now offering unlimited domains it is very cost efficient.
The problem is trying to maintain additional sites, adding content etc. when for most of us it is hard enough just keeping up with one blog.
One day my e-mail box was flooded with people trying to get me to purchase the latest hot product for Internet marketers, Auto Blogging. There are dozens out there so I thought I would play with a few. And of course I was looking for the free ones.
The one that caught my attention first was WP-o-Matic. It seemed promising. It is a simple plug-in that is easy to add to your WordPress blog. (of course it’s free)
It takes RSS feeds from other sites and then posts them to your site. Constant content delivered to your blog with a push of a button. I just needed to decide on a site to use it. After playing with it for a while on a couple of my blogs I stopped using it and eventually forgot about.
Then the Gulf Oil Spill happened. The Internet was flooded with news about this horrific disaster. Then I remembered on of my niche sites- Green 4 Earth.
I had stopped updating this site months ago, I just struggled to find topics to write about and I just could not make it work. A simple Google Search about the disaster brought up plenty of sites and all them had RSS feeds.
I simply added a new category- Environmental- added the feeds of a few news organizations and presto – 10 to 20 news stories added every day about one of the most searched items on the Internet.
Each post is only the first paragraph of the news article with a link back to the full story. My visitors like it because they are getting all the headlines from several different news organizations all on one site, the sites get a link from me and potential visitor if the choose to continue reading the story, and I get many more visitors.
Since this plug-in only posts a snippet of the article I decided not to use it on any of my other sites. But for this niche site I now have found a way to increase my traffic and am researching other news sites about other topics related to the environment.

How To Make Money Blogging With Multiple Websites
When I started my Internet Home Business I soon became overwhelmed with e-mails from people who offered a product or service that would help me succeed with my new business.
The first time I used a traffic exchange I was amazed by all the products that were available to me. Most offered to make my life easier and all but guaranteed to send me hoards of traffic and let me retire in less than a year.
Of course I purchased a few and as of this writing I still have yet to retire. But what I did find out is there are many good products offered my some well intentioned people. There are also some products that are not worth a nickel and actually ended up hurting my website (one plug-in I installed made my blog crash, luckily I had backed it up beforehand).
Then a couple of years ago I decided to start another website. I used WordPress as the format and was amazed at how simple it was to make changes, post updates and generally run my Internet home business.
I soon switched my main website to WordPress and use it exclusively on all my sites. I then started to think- why not test some of these products out. Instead of using my main site and risk harming it I can test it out on a blog that I seldom update gets little traffic and use it as a guinea pig.
One advantage of using WordPress as the format for your website is there are hundreds if not thousands of products, plug-ins and services that claim they can help and many hosting company’s offer to host unlimited sites for one low price. ( Host Gator and Blue Host are a couple of examples of great hosting sites)
So for my next few posts I’ll show you a few different plug-ins and services that I am currently testing. Some of them I use only on one site and others I’ve begun to use on all my sites.
What most blog owners need is fresh content so I thought I’d try a few of these programs out. WP-o-Matic is a free plug-in that claims to do just that so I figured I’d give it try.
