   Hi, I like your article on suddenly losing web traffic. I expected to have slow traffic on during Christmas but actually the traffic was steady for Christmas eve and Christmas. But the day after and today traffic dropped 90%. I’m still indexed and the traffic was coming from all my sub domains. I’m trying to think what would cause the loss of traffic so rapidly AFTER Christmas. I also checked my web master tools. No errors, warnings or any messages at all. I hope my traffic didn’t permanently tank on me. Do you think it was because of the holidays? If so why did it tank after Christmas, that’s really weird. Still it has tanked, 2nd day after Christmas. Any ideas? Thanks

   Hi Nima-
   The last week of December can be hard to predict traffic. For instance my traffic only dipped a little on the 25th and then recovered to almost normal levels.

   The big factor for traffic this time of year is what particular niche your site services. Most people are looking for deals on electronics, clothes etc. and will return to their normal surfing after the new year.

   Now is the perfect time to check your keywords and build backlinks to your site using anchor text links to your site.

    Talking about spelling mistakes, the post above mine clearly has one. If it was so easy to spot misspelled words in articles and websites I would be very rich by now. I guess it works ina similar way to get paid for surfing where you get something like $0.001 for each click if you expect to do it for free. I guess I am being skeptical but I’m a ‘been there done it’ person.

    Hello John I have been following your blog for a while now and find it a great source of information. I have a question or two about PIPS: I see that there are 5 opportunities that Stone suggests you sign up for before applying for membership. I am currently a member of two of these opportunities – do I just use my current ID numbers?

    Also, is it possible to sign up for PIPS with the free opportunities first and then add the other opportunities at a later time, or is that not an option as he has to create my website.

    Hi Shelly-
    If you are already a member of the programs then all you need to do is use your current id’s. You do not need to join all of the programs and you can just join the free ones while you learn. This site was once a PIPS site and I have made many changes over the years

    Just a word of caution, Stone does push several additional programs during the 30 day training and most are of no real value. Be sure to stick to your budget and do not feel like you need to purchase a product. Most of your traffic will come from good old fashioned hard work.

    Also, make sure you check out Host Then Profit. While there is a monthly fee of $9.97 it does come with a auto-responder service and with PIPS you will need to sign up for Get Response which runs $20 per month.

    I have been a member of Affiliate Power Group since it started and I think it is the best investment anyone can make for the home based business.
    The training they offer is incredible, and the ready made sites are top notch.
