Plug-In Profits Makes The Switch To HostGator
Recently Plug-In Profit switched to HostGator as their hosting company. As someone who has been a member of PIPS for some time now I think this is one of the best changes Stone Evens has made.
For years Host4Profit has been the hosting company of choice for Plug-In Profit and for the most part has an excellent provider of web hosting. I never experienced any down time on my site and whenever I needed to contact them they were always quick to respond.
Host4Profit also offers perhaps the best affiliate program for hosting companies. However, as the Internet continues to evolve and more and more websites seem to be moving to the WordPress format Host4Profit seems to be outdated and overpriced.
HostGator offers cPanel which allows for much easier editing of your site and is about the half the price of Host4Profit. They also offer a decent affiliate program and with all the advantages they offer the payouts to affiliates should actually increase due to increased sales
Perhaps the biggest advantage of HostGator is that it allows you to have unlimited domains at no additional cost. Now instead of one Plug-In Profit site that thousands of other people are promoting, members can find a niche of their own and have multiple websites with no additional hosting fees.
I had been considering switching hosting companies for months now and in fact use BlueHost for my other sites but I was nervous about transferring the files to a new site. I am not much of a techie and I was thinking of hiring someone to move my site for me. I figured it would take hours of time I do not have and chances were I mess something up. So I just continued using Host4Profit.
Currently HostGator is offering to transfer your site for you free of charge. Once I found this out I made the switch and it was completely painless. It took less then a day to complete everything and they contacted me several times to let me know the progress.
I only wish I had made the change sooner. To sign up for HostGator click here.
