Best Forums To Get Backlinks
In my last post I talked about article marketing and some of the top sites to submit your articles to. Another easy way to build back links is through forum. Forums offer a wealth of information as well as an opportunity to get an easy link to your site.
People post in forums for two reasons- in search of an answer to question or to help people searching for answers. This provides an excellent opportunity to gain a link to your site through a signature that appears in every post.
Weather you are searching for answers or can provide the information it is a very effective way to get traffic to your website.
I must admit that this particular method has never been my strong point. I tend to lurk behind the scenes and read the posts. A total waist of time. To totally gain the true value of the forum you must jump in and start posting. For now I’ve been getting links by welcoming new members. One of my goals in the next few month is to become more active in a few of the top forums.

Forums for me as well have been difficult. Your strategy of welcoming new members is an easy way to start. As time goes on one can then check out posts that interest you and add to them. It makes no sense to add to posts for the sake of adding. You have to be able to make a contribution because otherwise, as you point out, reading all the posts can be a waste of time.
nice way to go about it, but I always find forums cluttered and time consuming way to backlink unless you actually use that forum to learn/use something. Commenting on blogs is definitely my favorite since one is always searching for knowledge and in that one may found a dofollow blog on which he likes to comment..
I agree that forum posting can be time consuming. I think that the best strategy for building links to your site is a combination of forums, blogs, articles and social marketing. Having links from several different mediums looks more natural to the search engines.

Yah, I am agree that forum is the best way to generate traffic, get page rank soon, no doubt that forums is the best way for back links.
