Don’t Just Twitter All Day

One of the more popular methods today to gain traffic for your Internet home business is through social networking. You can spend all day updating and hanging around sites such as Twitter, My Space, and Facebook.

However if you have an Internet home business you need to determine whether you are actually benefiting from social networking or whether you are wasting your precious time.

Because many Internet business owners start out on a part time basis they are limited in the amount of time available to build their business.

You need to be careful that you do not fall into the trap of hanging around in social networking sites thinking you are actually making money.

Certainly there is a skill to doing such social networking for profit. The key point is to budget your time and use it effectively when trying to advertise and promote online.

By doing it this way you will always know when it is time to get out of the social networking sites and work on another part of your business.

This way you are in control and when you are working on the Internet you will focus on the task at hand and not on just having a good time.

This is a point that a lot of people seem to miss… Just because a single tweet may be short and sweet does not mean that Twitter requires no time to use effectively. There is a cost to everything and the chief cost of social marketing is time, so you need to work out if your time is being used most effectively when tweeting…
