How To Brand Yourself To Grow Your Internet Business

I have made several posts about the importance of promoting yourself and not your affiliate products. Branding your name will in the long term provide you with long term sales and a customer base that will continue to grow.

After my last post  on this subject -Don’t Promote Affiliate Marketing I received several inquires from my down line asking for more information about exactly how to Promote Yourself.

First of all let’s define what branding is as it pertains to Internet marketing. As an Internet home business owner you brand yourself when you work at getting the message out to your consumers. You are inserting yourself into the equation to help influence how they feel about the products you are selling.

You see this happen all the time on the television for example. The owners of furniture stores will come on TV and invite you down to their store. The actual owner of the car dealership films television ads at his dealership personally.  Jewelers do it, electricians do it, and owners of professional sports teams do it.

People still like to deal with people. On the Internet this is especially true because it can be impersonal landing on a website.

In the niche of making money online many people are looking for someone they can trust. It doesn’t matter if you’re the most famous money making guru in the world.

If you can brand yourself in a few special ways you can make money teaching people how to make money. So what are the 5 ways you can do this?

1. Write, or have ghost written for you, a report outlining the steps it takes to make money online. Write this in a very simple to read way and encourage people to give it away to all their friends. Viral marketing is a fantastic way to brand yourself.

2. Promote this same report in discussion forums and social networking sites. Put this in your profile and in your signature file. Don’t promote your website and don’t promote your blog. Just work at giving this report away to as many people as possible.

3. Deliver the report in an autoresponder. Capturing people’s names and e-mail addresses for future follow-up is another great way to brand yourself and it gives you the opportunity to keep in front of them over and over.

Include in the report the email address of your autoresponder and tell people its okay for them to give that email address out to their friends.

4. Put a sign-up form for the free right at the top of your webpage and blog where everybody can see it. Of course include your picture so people know who you are.

5. Have consistency in everything you do. Use the same picture all over the Internet. Have all the pages on your website the same color.

Your goal is to brand yourself in your Internet home business. You do that by getting your name and picture out as many ways as possible!
