How To Build Backlinks To Your Website
Building links back to your website should be one of the top priorities of any Internet home business owner. There are several methods of link building so I figured I would mention a few of the methods I use.
I mentioned in a previous post What Have You Done To Increase Your Number Of Backlinks Today that it is important to do something everyday to build the number of backlinks pointing to your site and this still hold true.
There are of course many different methods of doing this and I’ll cover several over my next few posts.
Lets start with an easy one- Blog Commenting. Commenting on another Internet home business owners blog is easy to do and most blog owners actually welcome them.
Start by doing a Google search of a keyword related to your niche find a few blogs and read the posts.
When you leave a comment you also leave the URL of your website. Piece of cake!! A few comments a day equals a few backlinks to your site.
Just make sure your comment is relevant to the topic and is not a blatant add for whatever product you promote.
Also, most owners, myself included, do not like it when someone leaves a link to a affiliate landing page. Most comments with affiliate landing pages as a destination are deleted so be sure to leave a link to a actual website.
When I set aside time for reading blogs I try to make a point of commenting on at least ten sites. Remember that it is important that you actually read the post ( you may actually learn something) and you leave a comment that the owner of the site will want to approve.
One word of caution- As with anything related to a Internet home business the process of commenting on blogs can be outsourced and there are programs that you can purchase that will post to hundreds of blogs at a time. Most of these comments are caught automatically by the blog and placed in the spam folder and then automatically deleted.
Save your money and do the posting yourself.
Next I’ll talk about how to find better quality backlinks

Hi John
You are so right. It is essential if one wants to have a successful online business to work on getting back links to your website and you give some very good tips here but as you say by using an automated or paid system just to comment on blogs is not a good idea. It is just a waste of time as I know that personally I spend time every single day just deleting those spam comments from my blog. Great post.
